IWU has one of the top college campuses in the country, with 65 facilities covering 80 acres. This includes 25 different residence locations that feature air-conditioning, T1 network access, and cable television. From the mid 1990's to the mid 2000's, IWU experienced over $120 million in new construction and renovations. All athletic facilities have been built or renovated in the last fifteen years. The Center for Natural Science is fifteen years old and houses 17 teaching labs and 27 student research labs. The $26 million Ames Library ranks in the top 10 in Princeton Review.
